Proposals

Publish a trip as a branded, interactive client proposal.

A proposal is the client-facing presentation of an itinerary. You build the itinerary, then publish it as a proposal to share with the client.

Publishing

From the itinerary's Share tab, click Publish proposal. Ratiba creates:

  • A snapshot of the itinerary as of right now.
  • A public URL at <your-subdomain>.ratiba.io/proposal/<id>.
  • A preview link you can open to QA before sharing.

You can publish, edit, and republish as many times as you want. Each publish overwrites the previous snapshot (the URL stays the same).

What's on a proposal

By default, every proposal shows:

  • Hero section. Trip name, dates, pax, lead photo.
  • Intro paragraph. A short narrative welcome you can write per-trip.
  • Day-by-day cards. Each day's accommodation, activities, photos.
  • Inclusions and exclusions. Pulled from workspace defaults plus any trip-specific overrides.
  • Pricing summary. Total price, optionally per-person breakdown.
  • About you. Your logo, contact info, and any "about the operator" copy.
  • Accept and comment. Buttons for the client to act.

You can hide any section per-trip from the publish settings.

Themes

Three built-in themes:

  • Classic. Clean, type-led, photo-light. Best for traditional operators.
  • Editorial. Magazine-style, image-heavy, large hero shots. Best for luxury.
  • Bold. High-contrast, modern, lots of color. Best for adventurous brands.

Switch themes from the Theme dropdown above the preview. Changes apply on next publish.

Branding

From Settings → Branding, set:

  • Logo. Used in the proposal header.
  • Primary color. Theme accent.
  • Custom font (optional, paid plans only).
  • Contact info. Email, WhatsApp, phone. Shown at the bottom of every proposal.

Custom intro and outro

Per proposal, you can write a custom intro paragraph and outro paragraph that appears at the top and bottom of the trip body. Useful for personal touches:

"Dear Smith family — we've designed this safari around your love of birdlife, with two days in Tarangire's baobab plains and an extra hide visit at Lake Manyara..."

These don't replace your standard about-the-operator block; they sit alongside it.

PDF export

For clients who insist on PDF, click Export PDF on the published proposal. The PDF mirrors the web view, optimized for printing. You can email it directly from Ratiba or download it.

PDFs are regenerated on demand, so they always reflect the latest published snapshot.

Republishing

Edits to the itinerary do not change the published proposal until you click Republish. This lets you tweak in private and push a single clean update.

Each republish:

  • Updates the snapshot.
  • Notifies anyone who has viewed the proposal that it's been updated (optional, off by default).

Unpublishing

To take a proposal offline, click Unpublish. The URL returns a polite 404 (or a custom "this proposal is no longer available" page if you've configured one). The data stays on the itinerary for your records.
