Transfers
Point-to-point transfer rates.
Use transfers for one-off journeys between two named points: an airport pickup, an inter-park transfer, a private shuttle. They're separate from vehicles so you can sell a fixed-price transfer without exposing a daily vehicle rate.
Fields
Each transfer row has:
- From. A named point (city, airport, park, lodge).
- To. Another named point.
- Mode. Road, scheduled flight, charter flight, boat.
- Rate basis.
- Per vehicle. Flat rate for the whole vehicle, regardless of pax.
- Per person. Multiplied by pax.
- Rate.
- Currency.
- Notes. Anything (typical duration, included refreshments).
Picking a transfer on the itinerary
In the day editor, click Add transfer. Pick a from-to pair. Ratiba auto-fills the rate.
If no transfer row matches, you can still add one manually with a custom price for this trip only — but you'll be re-typing it next time. Better to add it to the rate card.
Scheduled flights
For commercial flights (Coastal, Air Excel, Auric Air, Safari Air Link), enter the route as a transfer with mode = scheduled flight and basis = per person. Update rates each season.
If a route has different prices by season, add multiple rows referencing different seasons.
Charter flights
For charter flights (Caravan, Cessna 208), use mode = charter flight and basis = per vehicle (where "vehicle" is the whole aircraft). Set the rate as the per-leg charter cost.
Empty legs and deadhead
When charter aircraft has to position empty, that cost still has to go somewhere. Add a separate "Deadhead Manyara → Arusha" transfer row and add it to the trip if the client owes it.
